Notwithstanding anything said, conveyed, printed, published or implied anywhere else on any platform or stationary other than this prospectus, the rules contained below in this section shall prevail and shall be binding on all concerned. Every student would be deemed to have read and understood all the rules of this section.

1.All powers relating to discipline and disciplinary actions are vested in the Chairman, who has the final authority.

2.The Chairman may delegate all or only such powers as he deems proper to any of the officials of the AIA.

3.All the admissions made will be provisional and be subject to thorough scrutiny. If it is found at any stage, during the entire period of the course that the candidate has furnished any false or incorrect information in the application form or at the time of counseling/ admission, his/her candidature for the course will be summarily cancelled.

4.Without prejudice to the generality of power to enforce discipline, the following shall amount to indiscipline and misconduct:

a) Any physical assault or even threat to use physical force against any other student or any other officer/member of the Institute (both teaching or non-teaching) within or outside the Institute's premises.

b) Carrying of weapons or threat of using them.

c) Violation of the status, dignity and honor of students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

d) Any violation of the provision of the Civil Rights Protection Act, 1976.

e) Any gesture, posture or verbal remark, which is otherwise derogatory to women.

f) Any attempt to bribery for illegal gains or any other corruption of any means.

g) Willful destruction of, damage to or defacing of Institute property or causing any disruption in any manner to the normal functioning of the Institute.

h) Creating ill-will or intolerance on religious, political or communal grounds.

i) Smoking, use of Alcohol / prohibited drugs is strictly prohibited inside the Institute's campus and hostels. The names of students found indulging in such acts would be immediately struck off from the rolls of the Institute.

5.Without prejudice to the generality of his powers relating to the maintenance of discipline and taking such actions in the interest as he may deem fit, the Chairman may, in the exercise of his powers aforesaid order to or direct to be ordered

a)That any student or students be expelled from the Institution.

b)Any student or students be, for a stated period, rusticated or

c)Not allowed to attend a course or courses of study in a department of Institute for a stated period.

d)Be fined by a specific amount

e)Be debarred from giving a departmental examination or DGCA Examination.

f) That the result of the student or students concerned in the Examination or examinations in which he/she/they appeared be cancelled.

6.Only the result of the entrance test shall not entitle student to get admission.

7.At the time of admission, every student shall be required to sign a declaration that on admission he/she submits himself/herself to the disciplinary jurisdiction of the Chairman and other authorities of the Institute who may be vested with the authority to exercise discipline under the rules and regulations framed by the Institute. All the boys and girls seeking admission in any of the offered courses are expected to follow the following rules and regulations (Subject to change by Institute Authorities).

• Immediately after admission, every student submits himself / herself to the disciplinary jurisdiction of the Management of the Institute which may vest this authority to one or more of its officers to exercise discipline under AIA Rules and Regulations that have been or would be framed by the Institute from time to time for proper and effective disciplinary control.

• It is the duty of students that they must attend all the important functions such as Independence Day /Republic Day / Founder's Day or any other special occasion organized by the Institute. The defaulters will be penalized as per rules framed from time to time.

• It would also be mandatory for students to take part in all the extra curricular activities of the Institute.

• The progress of the students will be communicated to their parents/ guardians regularly by the media of their choice.

• The students will attend Institute in the Uniform code given in the prospectus. It is mandatory to attend the Institute in the Uniform code and also in time. Defaulters in this regard would be penalized according to the rules framed from time to time.

• All students, while entering the Institute, must have their nameplates, clipped in a proper place and should carry their Identity Cards issued by the Institute on person while in the Institute/campus.

• Any misconduct or misbehavior in the Institute/Hostel campus or outside shall be viewed seriously and liable to be penalized according to institute rules and regulations. Pasting of any kind of notice or poster within the Institute or defacing its property is not allowed. The students are forbidden to communicate with any outside authority directly/indirectly regarding matters of the Institute. All such communications must be submitted through the Principal, who will forward to the office of the Chairman if considered desirable.

• The Institute does not hold itself responsible for any debts or financial deals struck by the students or their parents / guardians.

• The students are not allowed to loiter about without purpose in the Institution premises. They are advised to avail the library facility during their free periods.

• If students lose or do any type of damage / damages to any library book/ books they must either arrange to replace it with new one at their own cost within one month of such a loss or pay double the price of the book.

• Students will have to pay for all damages caused by them to the books, instruments equipments, or any other Institution Property.

• Students are advised to maintain the decorum of the Institution in the real spirit.

• Students are not allowed to use the Institute/Office telephone for private use.

• As per the directive of Honorable Supreme Court of India, Ragging of junior students by senior students is strictly prohibited within and out of the premises of the Institute. A healthy relationship is desirable among the students.

• Ragging for the purpose of rules means any act, conduct or practice brought by dominant or senior students on fresher or junior students with or without use of physical force or assault or threat of force, any act of ridicule violating the status, dignity or honor of any other student or any acts of obscenity or verbal abuse and words or malice towards other students.

• Participation in any political movement, group or any other organization and formation of student's union would be considered very seriously and disciplinary action would be taken. However, institute would promote the welfare of the students by means suggested by the management from time to time.

• Students indulging in any anti-national activity would be expelled from the hostel/ institute immediately.

• Students must get 70% marks in each subject to get passed, failing to do so he/she must appear in retest before start of next session. Fee will be charged for re- test examination.

• Candidate failing in the first semester will be promoted to second semester. However, the candidate shall not be admitted to the third semester without passing the first semester.
Similarly, he will not be admitted to the fourth and fifth semester without passing the II & III semester respectively. The failing candidate is allowed to appear for the retest maximum three attempts at the interval of every two months duration. Failing which the candidate will be back phased & will have to repeat the semester.

• DGCA licence examination for AME are conducted thrice in a year (February, June & October). Students who have passed Semester 1 and 2 examination can appear in Paper-I, students who have passed semester 3 & 4 can appear in Paper-II and students having passed semester 5 can appear in Paper-III.

• Parents / Guardians are requested to be in touch with Institute so that they can be informed regarding performance of their ward in the class and semester exams.

• Prior permission is necessary for leave. Absences of more than three continuous days are pardonable after which fine will be charged fixed by the institute. Medical Certificate is necessary for the leave taken on health ground. If a student remain absent for more than 10 continuous days without Information. He/she will be terminated from the Institute. If he/she wishes to continue his/her studies, admission fee will have to be charged again, along with other dues if any.

8. Students once given admission, shall be liable to deposit total fee immediately or if in installment, should deposit within time or due date.

. Loaning totally depends upon individual capacity. Institute will provide only documents related with fees approval only. Delay in deposition of fee is not the responsibility of institute.

· In case delay in payment of fees/charges on due date, the institute have right to charge Rs. 500/- per day as fine for ten days. And delay beyond this period shall disentitled student from attending classes, which shall be sole responsibility of student.

· The course fees shall not be refundable or transferable.

· In case of any reason or shortfall in attendance for any reason if student is forced to discontinue in midterm session, full course fee shall have to be deposited /charged.

· That in case student is forced to discontinue or withdraw himself from the institute in midterm session, all his certificates /originals shall be returned after clearing all dues/ course fee, to the institute.

9. The student shall have to complete 80% attendance as per DGCA norms. In any case, shortfall due to any reason shall dis-entitle him/her to continue with his further study, there will be no relaxation whatsoever in this pretext.

10. Matter not covered by the above rules will fall entirely within the absolute discretion of the Chairman of the Institute only.

 Ruling by the honorable Supreme Court of India would remain Guidelines in this regard.

 All disputes subject to jurisdiction of Dehra Dun Court only.
