B.Sc. in Forestry is a 4 years full time undergraduate course. Forest science is the scientific study of forest planning and management, animal and plant life, ecology and conservation.
They gain hands-on experience through field trips, internships (required for graduation) and lab work. Ample job opportunities are available for B.Sc. Forestry graduates in the Forest Department of Indian Government. One may land the job of a forester or forest department officer in State Government's Forest Department. For this, one has to go through the selection process and examination though.
